Foundation
As e.K: In 1996, founder and managing director Norbert Braun ventured into self-employment with the US import and trade of tubes and rods made of colored glass. At that time there were hardly any special glass offers for artists in Europe. The satisfied GVB clientele grew accordingly fast. Competence and service were already at the center of the company's policy at that time. Other markets were also quickly opened up.
1996Change of name
To GVB GmbH- Solutions in Glass and move into their own business and warehouse premises in Herzogenrath, with 1500sqm of storage space and 20 employees.
Today, GVB GmbH - Solutions in Glass is one of the most versatile suppliers of technical special glass in Europe. GVB advises and supplies customers of all kinds and from almost every industry, such as the automotive, chemical, solar, laser, semiconductor and water treatment industries, with high-tech and special glasses such as quartz glass and borosilicate glass. Medium-sized companies, small businesses and artisans buy mainly technical glass, lighting glass and special artisan glass from GVB.
2011Cultivation of warehouses
Due to continuous growth and the additional storage space required as a result, an extensive building with around 1,000 additional square metres of storage space was constructed. Now, a total of 2,500 m² of space is available, where goods are produced and stocked for you in order to supply you as quickly and reliably as usual.
2019Installation of a photovoltaic system
By installing a 100 kWp photovoltaic system with integrated energy storage over the entire roof area of the existing building and the extensive warehouse , GVB GmbHsupports the use of renewable energies and now covers its entire energy consumption through them.
